JAMMU, June 07:
Jammu Zone clinched the boys’ under-17 cricket trophy beating Bhalwal zone by a margin of 25 runs in the final of the inter-zonal competitions of district Jammu at Parade Ground, here under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS).
Earlier, in the second semifinal, decided today, Bhalwal zone defeated Gandhi Nagar zone narrowly by two runs.
Meanwhile, the girls’ under-17 competition got underway at the same venue, here. Since there was hardly any participation from zones other than Jammu, the organisers divided the girls into two teams so as to name the district team by way of holding a competition among them.
