Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kishtwar organises Vidyalaya Management Committee Meeting

Jawahar Navodaya Vidya laya Kishtwar conducted a pivotal Vidyalaya Management Committee (VMC) meeting 05 June 2024, chaired by Dr. Devansh Yadav, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar. The meeting was well-attended by various dignitaries including the Deputy CEO, Kishtwar, representatives from the CMO office and the Executive Engineer, PWD (R&B), the Principal of the Government Senior Secondary School, Kishtwar and two Parents Representatives who are also the members of the committee. Principal, JNV Kishtwar, Mr. Kamal Jeet discussed various agenda points of the meeting in detail including temporary facilities, recreational facilities for girls, counselling services, expansion of examination centres for JNVST, organizing medical camps, electricity and repair of School Building etc. Since the four new rooms have already been sanctioned for the school by the Honourable Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar through NHPC, earmarking one for a new computer lab and he further suggested ideas for the judicious use of available resources.
A thorough inspection of the Vidyalaya Campus and the available resources was done by the Deputy Commissioner. He instructed the relevant departments to quickly prepare proposals to address the water supply challenges and maintenance needs of the building. It was assured to provide mobile toilets in the Academics Block and Shed Cum Storage Room for sports and recreation. Dr. Yadav inquired about the progress of the New JNV Building which is under construction. He ensured to provide support to pace up the construction work. The session proceeded with an enriching interaction between Dr. Yadav and the students, where he offered guidance on maintaining focus in their studies and excelling in life. At the end, he invited the students of JNV KISHTWAR to visit the Kishtwar Reading Hub, District Zoo and ATAL Tinkering Lab. He emphasised to inculcate the spirit of competition among the students by organising science exhibitions with the students of the State Board Schools.
