Jawan, civilian killed as militants attack Army camp in Pulwama

SRINAGAR, MAY 28:
A jawan and a civilian were killed Sunday night when terrorists attacked an Army camp in the militant-infested Pulwama district in northern Jammu and Kashmir state, police said.
This is the first terror strike by militants since the Indian government recently announcing cessation of operations during the holy month of Ramzan.
Police said the militants attacked the camp of 50 Rashtriya Rifles unit of the Army at Kakapora in Pulwama, leaving a jawan seriously injured.
A civilian, identified as Bilal Ahmed, was also caught in the crossfire and got severely wounded.

Authorities have clamped prohibitory orders in parts of Pulwama.
They said the fire was retaliated by the Army personnel.
Meanwhile, Three soldiers were injured in an IED blast triggered by militants in Shopian district of the northern Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.
A Casper vehicle of the 44 Rashtriya Rifles was damaged in an IED blast triggered by militants in Zainapora area of Shopian district, an Army official said.
The official said three soldiers sustained injuries in the blast.
