Jammu, April 24:
Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research (JIAR) celebrated World Meningitis Day on 24th April to raise awareness of meningitis. JIAR is happy to support the day, an initiative of the Worldwide Confederation of Meningitis Organisation (CoMo). This year’s theme# Life after Meningitis will shine a spotlight on the bravery of meningitis survivors and the challenges that they and their families face each day. On this event various power presentations and poster presentations were given by PG scholars and students of final year BAMS. The whole event was coordinated by Dr. Twinkle Gupta Associate Prof.and Dr. Poonam Gupta Asst.prof of PG department of Kayachikitsa.The session was organised under the supervision of Chairperson JIAR Mrs Suman Sharma .Managing Directors Mr Ravish and Mr Ritesh,Principal JIAR Dr. Raghuvir Singh,Vice Principal Dr. Nitin Mahajan . The whole session was concluded by honourable Principal Dr. Raghuvir Singh who spoke to the students that we must educate people about meningitis(inflammation of the layers of brain and spinal cord) and urged them to protect themselves, their families and community against meningitis.
