JIAR, in Association with Arogya Bharti J&K, Celebrates International Day of Yoga 2025

The Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research (JIAR), in collaboration with Arogya Bharti, Jammu & Kashmir, celebrated the International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2025 with great enthusiasm and unity. The event was organized along with other colleges under the Shri Sain Charitable Trust for Higher Education & Research.
The celebration was held under this year’s global theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”, emphasizing the holistic benefits of Yoga for individuals and the planet.
The program was inaugurated by Suman Sharma, Chairperson, Shri Sain Charitable Trust for Higher Education & Research, Jammu, and Abhishek Sharma, State Organising Secretary, Arogya Bharti J&K. They were joined by Lokesh Kumar Bali, State Vice President, Arogya Bharti J&K, and Munish Sharma.
Also gracing the occasion were Japna Sharma and Nitin Mahajan, CEO of the Trust. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and staff members of all affiliated colleges—totaling around 200 participants.
Students showcased various Yoga Asanas, promoting physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Winners of the week-long Yoga competition were felicitated during the event.
Addressing the gathering, Lokesh Kumar Bali ji highlighted the spiritual depth and philosophical foundation of Yoga. He spoke about Maharishi Patanjali’s Maha Bhashya, elaborating on the profound meaning and greatness of Yoga in ancient and modern contexts.
The event successfully echoed the spirit of unity and wellness that Yoga fosters globally.
