New Delhi, April 28 : Vodafone has been struggling lately in the market, as is evident from the market share data. Even after merging with Idea, the telecom operator has been losing subscribers at a continuous pace. However, despite the losses, the company has been trying its best to gain back customers. Vodafone has been actively revising its plans for both prepaid and postpaid subscribers to stand a fair chance against Reliance Jio and Airtel. In implementing such an effort, Vodafone has come up with a new prepaid plan for Rs 139.
The new prepaid plan from Vodafone is an attempt to gain back some traction in the telecom segment by attracting more subscribers. As Telecom Talk suggests, the plan is available for Rs 139 and comes with a host of benefits that could draw people who want a balance between data and calls. The plan offers 5GB of data for subscribers in 3G and 4G network. Subscribers will get a validity of 28 days with the plan. Additionally, it also comes with unlimited calls.
The Rs 139 plan adds to the list of many affordable plans that Vodafone offers for prepaid users. There are other plans that come for Rs 119, Rs 129 and Rs 169. The Rs 119 plan offers 1GB data and also offers unlimited calling – both for a period of 28 days. The second plan that costs Rs 129 offers 1.5GB data along with unlimited calling for a period of 28 days. The third plan costs Rs 169 and offers 1.5GB data per day. It offers a validity of 28 days and also comes with unlimited calls.
While Vodafone is catering to the affordable end of the market, the company has also been revising some of the annual plans for prepaid users. Recently, the company launched a new plan for Rs 999 that came with benefits suited for those preferring lesser data. The plan offered validity of 365 days and an overall 12GB of data. Subscribers get unlimited local, STD and roaming calls with this plan. The plan also offers 100SMSes per day.
