At least nine tourists were injured in an early morning road accident in Jammu Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Thursday, officials said.
The accident occurred at around 6:30 AM when a tempo traveller coming from Jammu towards Srinagar, hit a divider near the Power Grid Station Nipora leading to injuries to nine passengers.
“Following the accident, locals and authorities rushed to the spot and shifted the injured passengers to Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag for treatment,” they added.
The injured were identified as Vikram Kumar resident of Rajasthan; Avala Krishna Chaitanya of Andhra Pradesh; Aftab of Uttar Pradesh; Shanbo of Mumbai; Khota of Rajasthan; Ramlal of Mumbai; Vabak Kumar and Anil Kumar of Mumbai and Rahul of Rajasthan.
