J&K enters QFs to meet MP today

JAMMU, Dec 23:
Hosts Jammu and Kashmir today reached the quarterfinals stages of the competition after they registered a 16 runs win against Uttarakhand in the 64th National School Games under-19 boys’ Cricket being held at different venues, here under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS).
Now, in the quarterfinals, to be played tomorrow, J&K shall meet Madhya Pradesh for the semifinals berth.
Earlier, in the pre-quarterfinals, J&K beat Uttarakhand by 16 runs. Batting first, J&K scored 86 runs in given 15 overs. Kartik remained top scorer with 23 runs. From Uttarakhand, Sachin and Imran shared three wickets each. In reply, Uttarakhand could make 70 runs to lose the game. Younis clinched three wickets from J&K.
Other teams reached the quarterfinals today are Delhi, Chandigarh, Madhya Pradesh and Punjab. While Delhi defeated Telangana by 10 wickets, Chandigarh made it a nine wickets victory against Maharashtra. Madhya Pradesh beat West Bengal by 10 wickets and Punjab trounced CBSE by 68 runs.
FIXTURE: QUARTERFINALS: Delhi V/s Chandigarh at KCPS; Uttar Pradesh V/s Chhattisgarh at Smailpur; Haryana V/s Punjab at Parade Ground; Madhya Pradesh V/s J&K at University of Jammu from 9 am onwards tomorrow.
