Micro Finance & Financial Inclusion Department, J&K Grameen Bank under the Chairmanship of Sh. RK Chhibber is conducting a state wide campaign regarding social security schemes including PMSBY & PMJJBY wherein the people are insured at a nominal premium of Rs 12 & Rs 330 respectively.
Most of the beneficiaries belong to unorganized sector including factory workers, hawkers and rural agricultural labour etc. After a span of more than one year, 100 percent claim settlement rate is maintained by the bank and the nominee of the insured person get a financial aid of Rs. 2 lac.
Recently, J&K Grameen Bank organised a programme in which Mr. R.K Narang, Regional Manager Rajouri & Poonch was the chief guest,the lump sum amount of Rs. 2 lac regarding PMJJBY claim is handed over to the nominee of the insurer, Sh. Jeet Kumar by Sarpanch Sh. Pushav Kumar of the area. He appreciated the efforts of the bank towards social security schemes and applauded that the bank is making extraordinary efforts to make the national programme of social security schemes a big success.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Vipan Gupta, Sr. Manager, MF&FI Department, informed about the benefits of social security schemes namely (PMJJBY) Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, (PMSBY) Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and (APY) Atal Pension Yojana.The main focus was on APY enrolments, at present bank is touching 8000 APY enrolments. People are also enrolling under GOI insurance schemes like PMJJBY & PMSBY. At present bank is touching 22000 enrolments in PMJJBY and 42000 in PMSBY. He emphasize in order to enable 100% renewal of existing enrolments under PMSBY & PMJJBY, the SMS are sent to the customers on regular basis for maintaining a minimum balance of Rs.330 and Rs.12 only. At present, the claim settlement rate in the bank is 100%. He enlightened people about newtechnologies available in the bank such as multiple uses of Bank Cheque, Use of POSMachine, RuPay Debit card, KCC RuPay Debit Card, Net Banking, Mobile BankingServices, IMPS, Aadhaar based transactions etc. He explained the participants about theproducts, deposit and to avail credit facilities in general like Housing Loan @8.35%,Transport Loan@9% and Car Loan@ 8.95%. He also stressed upon the schemes of smalland big industrial loans and requested them to visit their branch without any hindrance fortheir all banking needs under one roof. People were educated about the Aadhaar Seedingand Mobile seeding with their respective saving bank accounts which is need of the hour forthe banking sector.The thrust was also given on various IT products like RuPay cards, SMS Alerts, NEFT/ RTGS and Immediate Payment services (IMPS).He also added that the interest rates on loans & advances in JKGB are lowest amongst other banks.A number of new schemes are introduced by the bank for financing under Agriculture/Horticulture and setting up of Industries in J&K StateBank has already financed various industrial units in SIDCO Complex,Samba.
