J&K Grameen Bank marked 3000 enrolments under the GOI campaign “GRAM SWARAJ ABHIYAAN” at Villages Hakal and Khandwal under the Branch Office- Chatha Tehsil-Mandal District-Jammu.
Micro Finance and Financial Inclusion Department under the chairmanship of Sh. R.K Chhibber conducts Govt of India campaign “GRAM SWARAJ ABHIYAAN” in the villages Hakal and Khandwal under the Branch Office-Chatha, District-Jammu.
On the occasion Dhanwant Singh, Branch Head Chatha, aware the people about the Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan is an initiative of GOI for reaching out to the poor population in the villages of Districts Jammu, Rajouri, Kathua & Samba. He appreciated the efforts of the bank towards social security schemes and applauded that the bank is making extraordinary efforts to make the national programme of social security schemes a big success by enrolling more than 3000 individuals in just 17 days under this campaign. The programme was focus on maximum enrolment of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY). On the occasion, aware the gathering about these schemes and requested them to enrol under these social security schemes. Atlease 200 people participate the programme and a hundred of enrolments done under the social security schemes PMJDY, PMJJBY & PMSBY.
BMO & BDO Mandal, were also present during the campaign, requested the branches of J&K Grameen Bank to enrol more and more person under these schemes so that the poor and unreachable population may also get the benefits of these schemes. They also requested the Bank Staff for door to door banking under this campaign so that everyone should get benefit. The programme was mainly focuses on to enrol more and more individuals under these Social Security Schemes viz Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY). They also aware the people regarding use of social security schemes of GOI and the schemes of the bank. They described the problems faced by the general public due to the unawareness of the availability of simple digital and cashless transaction methods.
