J&K Grameen Bank under the Chairmanship of Sh. RK Chhibber in collaboration with NABARD organized Digital – financial literacy awareness program mes in villages Upper Burn and Mishriwala under the branch office Bhalwal and Mishriwala respectively. R.S Billawaria, Area Manager Jammu, who was the chief guest on the occasion, highlighted about developments in banking sector and latest schemes. He informed the participants regarding various modes of getting cashless transactions from banks, various safeguards to be kept in mind in order to be aware and prevent cases of cheating/ corruption while availing different banking facilities with special reference to use of ATM Cards, Mobile Banking etc. He impressed upon the participant not to use any middle man for availing any benefit from bank and approach the Bank branch directly.
He laid emphasis on adoption of social security schemes launched by GOI on war footing; that shall ameliorate the lot of unorganised sector who remain deprived from such facilities.
Pawan Gupta executive officer KVIB,who was the guest of honour also appreciated the tremendous efforts of the bank towards customer awareness. and made people aware of various loan schemes.and stressed the need of using various Applications of the bank for getting cashless transactions and also highlighted the importance of cashless transactions that shall not only save time of the customers, reduce their wait time in banks but shall give boost to direct revenues of the Govt in the shape of tax collections utilised for development of the villages. He stressed for availing benefits of bank schemes available on hassle free manner. . Vipan Gupta, Senior Manager MF&FI Deptt. J&K Grameen Bank highlighted that with our thrust on enabling an impactful mindset changes towards Cash to cashless economy, we are nurturing environment of transformation across our clientele, structures, systems, processes and skills in the bank as a whole. Director RSETI, Tilak Raj and FLC Coordinator Mohinder Kumar appreciated the efforts of the bank towards digital financial literacy. Representatives of various Line Departments also attended the programme. Besides huge gathering Panchs, Sarpanchs of the area also attended the said camp. Branch Head Bhalwal , Mr. Surat Singh and Branch Head Mishriwala Mr. Vinay Mehra presented the vote of thanks.
