Financial Inclusion & Insurance Department under the chairmanship of Sh. Janak Raj Angural in collaboration with NABARD organized 10 Digital-Financial Literacy Awareness Programmes in different unbanked villages of the District Jammu, Rajouri & Samba under Branch office Gho Manhasa, Gajansoo, Tatapani, Sialsui, Solki, Siot, Ramgarh, Nandpur, Jakh & Sheeri on the theme of awareness among Farmers, Students & Non-Farm working groups.
Among all the chief Guests, Mr Surinder Singh, DDM NABARD, Samba aware people about developments in banking sector and latest schemes.The participants were informed regarding various modes of getting cashless transactions from banks, various safeguards to be kept in mind in order to be aware and prevent cases of cheating/ corruption while availing different banking facilities with special reference to use of ATM Cards, Mobile Banking etc. People were educated about the Aadhaar Seeding and Mobile seeding with their respective saving bank accounts which is need of the hour for the banking sector.
Sh. Vijay Kumar, Agriculture Panchayat Officer Ramgarh, on the occasion appreciated the efforts of the bank towards social security schemes and applauded that the bank is making extraordinary efforts to make the national programme of social schemes a big success.
Vinod Kumar, Sarpanch Tatapani, highlighted that the programme intends to impact the gathering regarding digitisation by educating the people about the benefits of digital banking and cash less economy. He highlighted that with our thrust on enabling an impactful mindset changes towards Cash to cashless economy.
Panchs from all these unbanked areas, enlightened people and students about new technologies available in the bank such as multiple uses of Bank cheques, Use of POS Machine, RuPay Debit card, KCC RuPay Debit Card, Net Banking, Mobile Banking Services, IMPS, Aadhaar based transactions etc.
Representatives of Line Departments like KVIB, Animal Husbandry also attended the programmes. People in 100 from all these areas get aware about the new banking trends and services provided by J&K Grameen Bank on the occasion.
All Branch Heads from Branch Offices, Ramgarh, Nandpur, Jakh, Gho Manhasa, Gajansoo, Tatapani, Sialsui, Solki & Siot addressed the gathering and detailed them regarding the schemes of the Bank. Car, Tractor, JLG and KCC loans of around Rs.50 lac were also disbursed during these programmes. They have also distributed New Year calendars among the people. They also stressed upon the social security schemes including APY, PMJJBY, PMSBY and presented the vote of thanks.
