Today work remained suspended in all the Courts in response to the call of J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu lodging protest against the brutal killings of two innocent brothers namely Sh. Ajit Parihar and Sh. Anil Parihar who were Die Hard Indian Nationalists. Since the eruption of militancy in the State of J&K they were the one who were fighting against the Anti National forces in Kishtwar, in particular and State of J&K in general. They always kept the National Flag flying high and never compromised in fighting the Anti National forces. Yesterday evening, while on their way to home they were shot dead from point blank range by the militants- which is a serious development and a matter of grave concern which needs to be condemned in one voice by one and all. Faced with the situation arising out of the cowardly act of the Terrorists/Anti-Nationals, a strong protest was lodged in the District Court Premises, High Court Complex, at Janipur, Jammu. The protesting members of the Association strongly condemned the ongoing Anti-National/Terrorists activities in the State of J&K by the terrorists/ Militant outfits active in the State of J&K at instance of Pakistan.
Taking serious view of growing attacks of the terrorists on innocent people and security personnel, the members of the Association strongly condemned the Militant attack that took place in the Kishtwar in which Sh. Ajit Parihar and Sh. Anil Parihar have attained martyrdom who were fighting strongly against the Anti National and Militant forces in the State.
Their sacrifice in the cause of National unity and integrity, besides fighting terrorism shall be remembered for all times to come. The J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu paid rich homage with respectful tributes to the martyrs.
During protest, while addressing the members of the Bar and Media Mr B.S. Slathia, Senior Advocate, President J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu urged the Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narinder Modi and His Excellency the Governor of the State to take stern action against such subversive elements to curb the menace of terrorism and to ensure peaceful atmosphere in the State. It was further appealed by Mr Slathia that this incident should be investigated by a Specialized Investigating Agency like National Investigating Agency (NIA) to nab the culprits/terrorists responsible for this cowardly act of killing innocent brothers which has caused fear psychosis amongst the Nationalist People in the State in general and Kishtwar in particular.
While condemning the incident, Sh. Sachin Gupta, Vice President, Sh. Prem Sadotra, General Secretary, JKHCBAJ and Sh. Rajesh Thappa, Advocate appealed to the Govt. of India as well as the Governor of the State to strengthen the Village Defence Committees (VDCs) and they be provided with sophisticated weapons to counter the terrorists to prevent such attacks upon innocent public of the area.
