J&K Legislative Assembly’s Maiden Session from November 4

JAMMU, OCT 29:

The first session of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly is set to begin on November 4, marking a historic moment for the Union Territory.
The inaugural day will feature the election of the Speaker at 10:30 a.m., followed by an address from the Lieutenant Governor at 11:30 a.m.
On November 5, the Assembly will observe obituary references. The subsequent days, November 6 to 8, are reserved for discussions on the Motion of Thanks to the Lieutenant Governor’s address, with a final reply expected on the concluding day.
Session Schedule
November 4: Election of the Speaker and the Lieutenant Governor’s address to the House.
November 5: Obituary references for former MLAs who passed away since the last session of the erstwhile assembly.
November 6-7: Discussion on the Motion of Thanks on the LG’s address.
November 8: Discussion on the Motion of Thanks on the LG’s address and the reply thereto.
