J&K youth must contribute in realizing vision of Viksit Bharat 2047

The Lieutenant Governor, Shri Manoj Sinha chaired a meeting to review the preparations for observance of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, Run for Unity event and J&K UT foundation day, here at Raj Bhawan today.
The Chief Secretary, Sh Atal Dulloo; DGP Sh Nalin Prabhat; Principal Secretary, Home Department, Sh Chandraker Bharti; ADGP Law & Order, Sh Vijay Kumar; Principal Secretary to Lt Governor, Dr Mandeep K Bhandari; Deputy Commissioners, SSPs and senior officials, in person and through virtual mode, attended the meeting. The officers gave their suggestions for the implementation of various programmes.
The Lieutenant Governor directed the District Administrations and the line departments to ensure all

arrangements for hassle- free and smooth conduct of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, Run for Unity and J&K UT foundation day events.
The officials were directed to organize “Run for Unity” at all District Headquarters and to ensure participation of citizens from different age groups to celebrate the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.
The Lieutenant Governor directed the Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and senior police and administrative officials to put in place all the arrangements for the grand celebration of J&K UT Foundation Day in Jammu and Srinagar.
In view of the festive season, the Lt Governor instructed the officials to take all possible measures to ensure uninterrupted power & water supply, proper cleanliness and sanitation measures and make elaborate arrangements with regard to security and Law & Order.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha addressed the Medhavi Chhatra Samman Samaroh organized by Amar Ujala Group at SKUAST Kashmir, today.
The Lt Governor felicitated the meritorious students of class 10th and 12th from JKBOSE and extended his best wishes for a bright future to all students. He also congratulated the girl students for outshining the boys in the award tally.
In his address, the Lt Governor called upon the youngsters to take advantage of today’s dynamic, competitive environment and knowledge platforms in setting the new goal in life. As a youth of this great nation, they should contribute towards realizing the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, he added.
“I strongly believe the goal of education is not limited to number and ranking. It is also about creating better human beings and future leaders, who will bridge the gaps between education sector and needs of the globalised economy,” the Lt Governor said.
The Lt Governor emphasised the role of School Education Department, educational institutions, teaching community in imparting life skills among the students and promoting learning beyond classroom.
“Our focus should also be on lifelong learning skills, creativity, curiosity, problem solving and critical thinking. This will help the talented youth to develop valuable and special skills, which will enable them to effectively tackle future challenges,” he said.
