Jammu, Oct 06:
J&K State Gurudwara Parbandak Board, DGPC Jammu & other DGPC’s Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) and Sikh Intellectuals circle have expressed their solidarity with Bargari Insaf Morcha in Punjab and declared that a big Jatha of J&K Sikh Sangat will join Bargari Insaf Morcha on Oct 13, 2018 under the leadership of S.T.S Wazir (Ex-MLC) Chairman J&K State Gurudwara Parbandhak Board. While addressing joint press conference along with other Sr. Sikh leaders in Jammu today, S.T.S Wazir said that Bargari Insaf Morcha was launched by acting Jathedar of Sri Akak Takhat Sahib Bhai Dhayan Singh Mand and other Jathedars appointed by Sarbat Khalsa, demanding stern action against police officers involved in unprovoked firing on ANTI-SACRILEGE peaceful protestors and for release of sikh prisoners who have already completed their sentences. He said sentiments of entire sikh community in J&K were also badly hurt due to desecration of Guru Granth Sahib in Punjab, the unprovoked police firing and undermining the institution of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib to please the controversial Sirsa Dera Chief by Parkash Singh Badal Akali Dal Govt. in Punjab.
Sikh leaders while briefing the media about history of the events which lead to launching of Bargri Insaf Morcha on 01.06.2018, said that on 01.06.2015 our holy Guru Granth sahib was stolen from a Gurudwara Sahib at Burj Jawahar Singhwala Village in Kot Kapura area and it was during this period that Sirsa Dera followers of Ram Rahim Singh had held a two day dharna and even blocked rail and road traffic (on 18.09.2015). Then the appearance of posters in Bargari and Burj Jawahar Singhwala villages (on 24th Sept. 2015) challenging the Sikhs to prevent sacrilege of the stolen holly Guru Granth Sahib, if they could, were also reported. At the same time (Sept 24 2015) the controversial Dera Chief Ram Rahim Singh was exonerated by the Badals appointed Jathedar of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib in the case of another sacrilege act pending against him since 2007, which clearly shows a political design as well as a Sira Dera angle in entire controversy and also clean nexus between controversial Dera Chief & Badals.
