Vikram Randhawa, MLA Bahu Constituency, today strongly criticized the successive regimes headed by Congress and the National Conference in Jammu and Kashmir for their failure to ensure equitable development for the people of the Jammu region. He highlighted that the successive regimes neglected Jammu for more than 60 years, leaving people of Jammu region deprived of essential infrastructural growth and support that should have been the right of every resident.
The senior BJP leader was speaking after kick starting developmental projects for lanes and drains in Sector 8 of Ward 43 of Bahu Constituency.
The development works will be completed with an estimated costs of Rs. 70 lakhs, aim to improve the living conditions of local residents by addressing longstanding issues with sanitation and public pathways. On the occasion, Ex Corporator Surjeet Choudhary and his team were also present.
Randhawa said, “We are committed to modernizing the constituency and providing essential infrastructure that meets the standards our people deserve.”
He said, “For decades, the Jammu region was subjected to discriminatory practices that favored a select few, overlooking the needs and aspirations of our people. However, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government at the helm, the approach has shifted significantly.
Every section of society, regardless of caste, color, or creed, is now being treated equally, with fair access to development opportunities and resources.”
Randhawa expressed gratitude for Prime Minister Modi’s vision, emphasizing that the Union Territory has witnessed a transformative era of growth and social cohesion under his leadership. “Modi Ji’s commitment to Jammu and Kashmir has not only bridged the gap left by previous administrations but has also laid the foundation for a new era of prosperity,” he added.
Later, Vikram Randhawa interacted with local residents, listened to their concerns, and assured them of continued efforts to address their needs effectively. He affirmed that under his representation and the unwavering support of the central government, Bahu Constituency would continue to witness growth, equity, and a commitment to inclusive development for all.
