The JKACS (Jammu and Kashmir Aids Control Society) organised “The Red Run,” a 5 KM marathon designed to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, on September 14, in University of Jammu. The event saw enthusiastic participation from 08 students of GGM Science college(04 girls: Maithly, Rubby, Anjali Sharma, and Simran; and, 04 Boys: Gourav Sharma, Suraj Kumar, Ayub & Bilal Kohli), under the patronage of The principal GGM Science College Dr Romesh kumar Gupta and able guidance of Dr Seema Rani Minhas, the Nodal Officer of the college’s Red Ribbon Club. Gourav Sharma bagged 4th position & won a consolation prize for 1000 Rupees.The Principal also distributed certificates among the participating students to encourage them further and continue being the ambassadors of progress and change.The marathon served as a powerful platform to promote HIV/AIDS awareness, bringing the college community together in support of this vital cause.
