Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has tightened noose around clubs and district associations by fixing July 15 as deadline to furnish details about their existence. Working on professional lines to streamline the affairs of notorious sports body, which looks after the gentleman’s game of cricket, the three-member sub-committee appointed by the BCCI has sought detailed information from the affiliated clubs (also disputed) and those District Cricket Associations. The sub-committee has fixed July 15 as deadline for furnishing the details at its offices in Jammu and Srinagar.
It has been reliably learnt that the information sought from the clubs was aimed at revival of cricketing activities in the UT of J&K and Ladakh.
The detail of information sought included constitution, details of the teams year wise, details of elections held on yearly basis and list of elected office bearers, details of the offices of the clubs/association to include location, mailing address, email ID and to also include details of assets, fixtures and facilities, details of funds received from JKCA including expenditure details.
As also, the details of members who have incurred disability under Lodha panel report has also been sought. The clubs/associations have also been asked to intimate details of any financial help received by any club member in any capacity from JKCA.
Soon after receiving the information, the Sub-committee members shall hold direct interactions with the affiliated clubs and district associations.
