J&K Grameen Bank( JKGB) under the Chairmanship of Janak Raj Angural, Chairman JKGB, participated in mega credit camp held at Kathua to promote various loan schemes and products offered by the banks with a special focus on micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) loans.
Dr. Jitender Singh,PMO & Union Minister of State, who was the chief guest on the occasion, visited the stall of the bank. He emphasized that the aim of this awareness camp is to completely allay any misconception in the minds of youngsters who intend to foray into business ventures.
Romesh Vaid, General Manager J&K Grameen Bank, informed visitors about different loan schemes of the bank and also added that the interest rates on loan and advances in J&K Grameen Bank are lowest amongst the other banks. He also added that our bank is capable of doing micro as well as macro loans and has second largest coverage in J&K which covers all the remote areas of the state. He also stated about number of new schemes which are introduced by the bank for setting up industries in J&K. Bank has already financed industrial units in SIDCO Complex, Samba.He highlighted the benefits of Farmers Club, SHG, JLG and various schemes under financial inclusion of NABARD for the awareness and upliftment of rural as well as urban masses. He also highlighted a simple one page application devised by GOI/Bank for ‘SHISHU’ category of Mudra Loans devised for for the benefits of poor people. Loan of Rs.1.10 crore also disbursed through him to the concern beneficiaries during the even .
The programme was organized by MF&FI Department under the supervision of Sh.Vipan Gupta, Sr.Manager MFFI Department and Sh.Ram Paul Sharma, Regional Manager, Kathua & Samba with collaboration of Regional Office Kathua & Samba of the bank. The programme was intended to promote the various loans schemes and products offered by the bank with a special focus on MSME loans.
The gathering was also informed regarding various IT products like RuPay cards, SMS Alerts, NEFT/ RTGS and Immediate Payment services (IMPS), online banking, SMS banking, Aadhaar Enabled Payment System & Direct Benefit Transfer etc., to promote the digital banking and move towards cashless economy. The pamphlets having information regarding the various deposits, loans and IT products were also distributed to the masses.
