JAMMU, MAY 03:
Strongly condemning the govt for its amnesty scheme to stone pelters besides a slew of welfare measures for such anti nationals operating in Kashmir, a strong contingent of JKNPP led by its Chairman Harsh Dev Singh today held a massive protest in Exhibition Ground Jammu today. The enraged protestors torched the effigy of BJP-PDP govt amidst slogans seeking dismissal of the ‘dirty combine of opportunist parties’ in the state.
Expressing serious concern over the fast deteriorating situation in the valley, Mr. Singh said that Kashmir had witnessed glorification of secessionists, pro-Pak slogans and unfurling of Pak/ISIS flags during congregations, frequent terror attacks on defence camps, assault on pilgrims, civil unrest, clashes, lynching and killings of security personnel, torching of police stations and mob attacks on security forces. He said that the pardon to 9730 stone pelters by BJP-PDP govt had further emboldened the subversive elements in the valley which could be gauged by the horrifying incident yesterday. Two children were injured when their school bus carrying more than 50 children came under attack by stone-pelters in Shopian triggering widespread condemnation. There is complete madness how they are targeting school children, anguished Harsh remarked. Mr. Singh said that in March this year, recovery of dozens of mobile phones, SIM cards, pen drives, I-pads, digital cards, Hizbul posters, Pak flags, Jihadi literature and Hard disks from Central Jail Srinagar a couple of months ago by the NIA teams during their raid on the said premises had made a sensational expose of the involvement of administrative authorities in the govt, without whom the proliferation of ‘pro-jehadi’ material would have not been possible. He said that earlier also a jailed militant of LET lodged in central jail Srinagar named Naveed had escaped from SMHS Hospital Srinagar after killing two police personnel under a well planned conspiracy in league with people sitting at the helm of affairs. He said that appeasement polices followed by the present govt and glorification of anti-nationals was largely responsible for the fast deteriorating situation. He warmed that the entire state will have to pay the price for pro separatist agenda pursued by the govt.
