Highly critical or the contradictory and incongruous stands taken by various BJP leaders over the Rassana case, Mr. Harsh Dev Singh JKNPP Chairman and Former Minister today said that the Saffron party stood fully exposed for its dual standards and double dealing in its desperation to cling on to power.
He said that all such conflicting statements were being made by different BJP leaders to suit their political convenience and to hoodwink people as part of larger political strategy. He was addressing a press conference in Jammu today.
Strongly flaying the negative campaign launched in a section of media against the people of Jammu, Mr. Singh described the propaganda as malicious and motivated. He said the people of Jammu had a time tested history of pluralism and communal harmony which could not be ignored or distorted in any manner.
Nobody can question our secular values and pluralistic ethos, said Harsh adding that some anti social and vested interests were trying to malign the image of Jammu which was unacceptable. He said that the demand for CBI probe was sought so as to ensure justice in the child homicide case of Rassana and to ensure that the truth prevailed.
He said tremendous response of the people of Jammu for CBI probe was sufficient to indicate the lacunaes in CB probe.
He said that JKNPP hold a massive road show rally from Vijaypur to Kathua on Thursday, 19th April to highlights the people’s demand for CBI probe in Rassana case.
Gagan Pratap Singh State Secretary JKNPP was also present in the press conference.
