JAMMU: Vice Chairman, J&K State Agro Industries Development Corporation Limited Rashid Mahmood today flagged-off the latest Farm Machineries for demonstration from Regional Office Jammu for participation in the Programme “Promotion and Strengthening of Farm Mechanization through demonstration” to be starts from April 23,2018 and onward at various districts level in the state. This is first kind of program to be organized by the J&K State Agro Industries Development Corporation Limited since it is established. Moreover these types of programmes will boost the youth for their active participation in agriculture activities to enhance the crop production and it increases the scope of job opportunities. The main attraction will be to demonstrate the latest Farm Machinery at farmers’ field. The first demonstration of Farm Machinery starts from district Kathua in Dayala Chak Sub-Divison. Besides live demonstration and display regarding the Farm machinery farmers will learn about use of latest technology, micro-irrigation/sensor-based irrigation system, new farm equipments, and machinery and cattle feed of corporation.
Interacting with the farmers at village Sherpur of Tehsil Hiranagar, Brij Mohan Rana, Divisional Manager J&K State Agro Industries Development Corporation Limited, Jammu advised the farmers to take full advantage of the demonstration to learn the latest and innovative techniques in farming for enhancing the crop production. He said that the main objective of such demonstrations is to acquaint the farmers with latest techniques, methods and machinery to be used for agricultural activities for enhancing productivity. Sh. Arun Gupta Chief Agriculture Officer Kathua, Sh.Devinder Sharma DAO (Ext) Kathua, Sh.Raju Mahajan Sub- Divisional Agriculture Officer, DayalaChak, Rajesh Bhat AEO (Agros), besides other officers of the department were also present on the occasion.
