Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta on Wednesday asked the unemployed youth of the State to avail optimum benefits of various employment generated schemes launched by the Central and the State Governments for their socio-economic upliftment.
This was stated by the Mayor while interacting with some unemployed youth after inaugurating mega trade fair (Exhibition-cum-Sale) at Gole Market Gandhi Nagar, here. The event has been organised by M/s Sharma Brothers.
Gupta also went round the stalls installed by the traders of in and outside the State. He appreciated the efforts of the traders and evinced his keen interest adding that such trade fairs prove beneficial for the people.
He called for a change in the mind set of the unemployed youth to become job providers instead of job seekers.
He said that such exhibitions should be a regular affair to provide a platform to the entrepreneurs to sell their products and share their expertise as well with the first hand entrepreneurs.
Arun Sharma, the organiser of the event, said that various daily use and household items including crockery kitchenware items footwear bamboo furniture readymade items, toys, lady’s suit and gift items sweater and jackets, Roti maker, Malamine crockery, food stalls and kids amusement items and furniture items will be put on display and sale at the event.
He asked the people to come and visit along with their family in large numbers to be the part of this event.
