A awareness programme organized by Jammu Municipal Corporation regarding Solid Waste Management in collaboration with Residents of Tawi Vihar Welfare Association, Sidhra Jammu.
President, Sh. B.S Thakur, Tawi Vihar Colony, Sidhra presided over the function and welcomed the guests. The programme started with the lecture by Master Jorawar Singh and practical demonstration was given by Dr. Zaffar Iqbal, Nodal officer, Solid Waste Management, JMC have given a practical demonstration regarding Solid Waste Management. The people present in the event were pleased to know that the waste from their homes creates vale for them after a short span of time and a little energize to prepare compost. The people were further told that the compost will be purchased by the JMC from their homes.
Residents of Tawi Vihar speaking on the occasion determined and committed promise to prepare compost for the welfare of the society and to utilize waste for the wealth and the country. It was a new vision for them which brought happiness for them.
President of the colony speaking on the behalf of residents of Tawi vihar that all the residents of Jammu to complete the exercise of the mission to bring Jammu in top 10 cleanest cities of India which is yet far away from the mission. He ensured to do best to bring Jammu on the World map for its cleanest.
He thanked all the members of the JMC whose jointly effort bring such awareness among the people as well as their visit in the colony.
