The Law School, University of Jammu today concluded a one-month internship programme in collaboration with the Anti-Corruption Bureau, J&K. This internship was specifically designed to focus on hands-on experiential learning regarding anti-corruption legislation and policies, aligning with the vision outlined in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Throughout the duration of the internship, interns had an opportunity to work closely with the Anti-Corruption Bureau, J&K, under the guidance of Director Shri Shakti Kumar Pathak and Prof. (Dr.) Manju Jamwal, Director of The Law School. Together, they engaged in various activities aimed at gaining a deeper understanding of corrupt practices prevalent in different sectors and identifying effective strategies to address them. The internship programme was meticulously structured to provide participants with practical knowledge, essential skills, and real-world experiences necessary for combating corruption effectively. Through a combination of intensive training sessions, hands-on projects, and collaborative discussions, interns gained valuable insights into the multifaceted nature of corruption and its adverse impact on society. The interns demonstrated remarkable dedication and innovation throughout the programme, highlighting their commitment to upholding integrity and ethical standards in the legal profession. To acknowledge their hard work and dedication, a felicitation ceremony was organised, providing interns with certificates of merit and recognition for their efforts in combating corruption. This event demonstrated The Law School’s commitment to promote integrity, accountability, and ethical governance, as well as its dedication to empowering future legal professionals to advocate for anti-corruption initiatives.
The internship was coordinated by Dr. Nitan Sharma, Dr. Monika Bhardwaj, Dr. Mohd. Arif, and Dr. Rajneesh Khajuria from the Faculty of Law, University of Jammu. Dr. Seema Rohmetra, Dr. Monica Narang, Dr. Shubha Vats, Dr. Vandita Sharma, SSP GS Ghuman, SSP Sandeep Wazir, and SSP Rashid Bhat provided valuable insights and support throughout the duration of the internship.
