JU Employees Cricket Team calls on VC JU, present Runners-up Trophy

JAMMU, Sept 18:
The University of Jammu Employees Cricket Team called on Prof. Manoj K. Dhar, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu here this evening and presented him the runners-up trpohy.
Prof. Dhar complemented the cricket team for their brilliant performance and hoped that the team will, in future also, put in their best efforts and play with enthusiasm. Prof. Dhar reiterated that sportsmen spirit should be maintained, irrespective of winning or losing.
The Vice-Chancellor encouraged all the players and wished them good luck for the future tournaments.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Jammu University Employees Cricket team participated in the 16th All India Vice-Chancellor’s Cricket Tournament-2018 hosted by University of Kashmir – Srinagar and emerged Runners-Up after playing its final match against Jamia Millia Islamia. The trophy was handed over by Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu. Others present include Sh. Pawan Singh Bhau, President, Jammu University Non-Teaching Employees Union, Mr. Manoj Chauhan, Vice-President, Mr. sham Lal, General Secretary, Mr. Sanjeev Chadha, Mr. Raj Kumar Bakshi (Cricket Coach) along with other office bearers and members.
