Jammu, Dec 23 :
“The BJP will return to power in 2019 with more seats and votes. The opposition is daydreaming. It neither has a leader nor policy nor strategy. It only has a negative agenda of stopping Modi and people do not like negative politics,” Jugal stated. BJP Member of Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma while talking to The Shadow newspaper in an exclusive interview, here today said our government has lived up to the slogan of ‘sabka saath, sabka vikas’ by bringing development to all without any consideration of caste, religion or region. Asked about the Ram temple issue, MP Jugal said the matter is currently being heard in the Supreme Court. Referring to main rival the Congress, Member of Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma said, the party had first formed government in 1947 and remained in power till 1967, indicating it was BJP turn to repeat a similar feat now that the ruling party has the capacity to do it. Complimenting Prime Minister Modi for his tenure from 2014, Jugal said as Gujarat chief minister he won his first poll in 2001 and he has never lost an election since then because of the good work that he has done. Underlining that the country has now moved towards politics of performance, Jugal said BJP never relaxed even after assuming power in 2014. “Politics of the county is now progressing towards performance and hope,” MP Jugal added. “The party has witnessed success due to the sacrifices of several workers and leaders in the last 50 years. We are lucky, but we also have a responsibility. After we win the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, we will have the responsibility of ensuring victory for the party from panchayat to Parliament for the next 50 years,” MP Jugal said. Jugal further said that he sees “no challenge” to the Bharatiya Janata Party and described unity efforts among opposition parties “unable to stand each other” as a proof of Modi government’s popularity and party’s big success. When they were in power they were a failure, and they are a failure even in opposition, he said.
