In line with Covid protocols and SOPs and the golden maxim ‘Permissible development must go on during Corona pandemic’, Juhi Manhas Pathania, Vice Chairperson, DDC Udhampur today kick-started blacktop work on Goswami Talai (Babey) road. She informed the public that it was one of the burning demands of the people of Upper Babay and we are committed to fulfil the public popular demand and the pace of development must go on even during COVID times. This road is now going to be improved with the project work estimated at around 66.00 lacs.
On this occasion, Mrs Pathania called upon the people to follow the guidelines given by the government and co-operate with the authorities.
There is no need to panic and we shall overcome this crisis if we fight it together with dedication and discipline.
She also inspected Isolation centres there and Health Sub Centre Babay and have spot instructions to the officers /PRIs to work with fullest dedication and ensure that every public urgency is met with promptness and precision. She further directed Health Department authorities to organize vaccination camps at Babay, GS Banj, Chore Panjian, Motu and other far flung pockets of the district as number/percentage of people vaccinated was pretty lesser. She called for greater responsibility and cooperation from the public and work towards actualisation of govt gospel ‘vaccination for all’.
While responding to local complaints, she called upon RDD authorities to improve the level of facilities at Isolation Centre. All works /decisions should be taken in duly convened Gram Sabhas. And no deviation from set precedents and established rule position shall be permitted.
She also instructed officers of PWD to ensure quality work within stipulated time period and further stick to public issues and complaints in best possible way.
She was accompanied panied by various departmental functionaries. Among those who were present on the ocassion included Ved Pal Sharma, Kamla Devi, Sarpanch, Tirath Ram, Naib sarpanch, Sunita Devi and Jagjit Singh (panches), Bishan Singh, Saif Din and others.
