JU’s Buddhist Studies Deptt and UoL signs MoU to foster collaboration & skill development

To enhance academic collaboration and promoting mutual skill development, the University of Life (UoL), a research and training organization (MSME), and the Department of Buddhist Studies, University of Jammu, have officially signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to research, for the first time, applied Buddhist Studies Principles, Psychology, and practices to combat psychological and mental health problems.
This partnership, represented by Dr. Neeraj Sharma Registrar of the University of Jammu, and Mrs. Shilpa Gupta, Founder of the University of Life aims to create a framework for joint research initiatives, academic exchanges, and skill-building programs.
The MoU is designed to leverage the strengths of both institutions to foster innovation and improve educational outcomes. It will facilitate collaborative pro jects, workshops, and seminars that will benefit students, faculty, and the broader community.
Shilpa Gupta, Founder of the University of Life, expressed her enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “This MoU marks a new chapter in our commitment to academic excellence and skill enhancement. We believe that by working together, we can create meaningful opportunities for our students and contribute to the region’s development.”
Dr Neeraj Sharma also emphasized the importance of this collaboration, highlighting the potential for shared resources and expertise that will enrich the educational landscape.
Both institutions are committed to implementing the terms of the MOU swiftly, with plans to initiate joint programs starting in the upcoming academic year. This partnership represents a shared vision for fostering a culture of learning, research.
Those who were present on this occasion included HoD Prof Mohd. Reyaz Ahmad, Dr Vivek Sharma, Dr Rajesh Sharma, Dr Sonia Jasrotia and Dr Rohit Sharma.
