Sunil Dimple president Jammu West Assembly Movement today along with his team visited various PHE Substations at Panjtirhi, New Plot, Janipur, Manda, Muthi Domana AEE office and other PHE supply substation to check and inspect the condition of tube wells, water tanks from where the drinking water is being supplied in the entire Jammu city. He alleged that the people of Jammu are suffering from water borne diseases like stomach born diseases as the department is supplying muddy contaminated water in Jammu city.
Dimple expressed concern over supply of contaminated drinking water from unclean, tube wells and tank in Jammu city. He also expressed great concern over absence of AEE’s Mr Vijay sharma PHE Civil & Vishal Mahjan of Mechanical who were not present in their office at 11.am at PHE Substation Panjterthi Radio station.
According to him, when he visited the of AEE Muthi Domana Chander Shekhar Khajuria, the officer claimed that 59 tube well tanks were cleaned in October 2019, three years ago. Dimple further informed that no bleaching powder is being used in the water tanks and tube wells by the department. Dimple called upon Chief Eng PHE Jammu Ashok Gandotra and registered his strong protest and threatens to launch mass agitation against the PHE department as the water tanks are not being cleaned by the department on regular basis.
