Kalal Club today lifted the title trophy of the three-day Volleyball Tournament which was organised by 63 Uniform Force RR Kalakote at Sports Stadium, Kalakote, here.
Kalal Club outplayed Kalakote XI 3-2 (22-25, 20-25, 25-22, 25-21, 18-16) in a well contested final that lasted for full five sets.
Brigade Commander of the 63 Uniform Force RR Kalakote, Rajeev Menon was chief guest by Incharge Manager Sports Stadium, Rajouri, Bashir Ahmed Bakshi was guest of honour. Commanding Officer of the 63 RR, Tejinder Singh was special guest.
The winning team presented with glittering title trophy and a cash prize of Rs 50,000 while runners-up, Kalakote Stadium XI received Rs 30,000. Ram Bawan of Kalakote declared best spiker and awarded with Rs 5000 cash award.
Similarly, Sachin Sharma of Kalal team named best setter and received Rs 5000 cash prize. A Rs 5,000 cash prize also given away to best blocker of the tournament, Jamrud Singh of Kalal.
Prominent among those who witnessed the final included Wali Mohd (ZEPO Peeri) and Rajinder Kumar (ZPEO Mogla). The event officiated by the technical penal including Khalid Hussain, Mohd Jamil, Mohd Kabir, Prem Chand and Shabir Chouhan.
