JAMMU, Dec 09:
Karan Raj Kalra lifted the under-18 boys title trophy in the Open State Lawn Tennis Championship, organised by the J&K Lawn Tennis Club, at MA Stadium, here today.
In the final, Karan defeated Pranay Salathia 2-1 with set score being 6-3, 5-7, 6-2. Similarly, in the under-14 boys’ final, Nitish defeated Zorawar while under-18 girls title went to Pranaya Salathia. The veteran above 35 years men’s final won by Dr Nikhil, who trounced Dr Satwinder.
The men’s title trophy went to Deepak, who beat Sawant in the final. The men’s doubles final won by the pair of Pranaya and Vikram, who defeated the duo of Deepak and Simrandeep Singh.
In the final and prize distribution function, District Development Commissioner (DDC) Samba, Sushma Chouhan was chief guest, who gave away the title trophies.
