District administration Kathua has started preparation for holding gram Shabhas to realize the aim of bottom up planning through People`s Plan Campaign (PPC).
In this regard, District Development Commissioner, Dr. Raghav Langer chaired a meeting with the officers of line departments for inter departmental coordination, synergy of resources and effective planning.
The DDC said that the Gram Sabha would be organized on October 2 at every Panchayat to generate awareness regarding PPC and Mission Antyodaya Survey 2019, which will become the base of ranking of Panchayats.
The DDC also listed the departments transferred to the Panchayats for achieving the objective of PPC and MA. He stressed on appointing Frontline workers for all the departments whose subjects have been transferred under the ambit of PRI Act.
It was informed that the format of Mission Antyodaya can be filled by using the already available data of Back to Village Program.
It was further informed that the detailed schedule for conducting Gram Sabhas in the Panchayats will be issued separately by the Rural Development Department.
“Every Panchayat of the District will ensure display of Public Information Boards at Panchayat HQ, depicting their detailed resource allocation” the meeting was informed further.
