While speaking in a programme organised by Hotel & Restaurant Association Katra in connection with the farewell of outgoing SDM Katra Neelam Khajuria and introduction of new SDM Katra Ashok Kumar Choudhary wherein Addl. Deputy Commissioner Reasi Babu Ram, Addl. SP Katra Naresh Singh, Tehsildar Katra Sunil Sharma,Hotel & Restaurant Association President Rakesh Wazir, Chairman Shyam Lal Kesar, Sr. Vice President Virednder Kesar, former President Shiv Kumar Sharma were also present Mr.Wazir & Mr. Kesar said that time has come when Katra/Shrine is required to be developed on the pattern & spirit similar to that of Darbar Sahib, Amritsar wherein the government after conceptualizing the whole project, totally over hauled the whole area keeping the aesthetics of the destination in mind and the result is that sharp increase in pilgrims Tourism is witnessed over there and similar type of planning and development as whole of the area is required here at Katra as well as in Vaishnodevi ji.
They besides appreciating the former Governor for adding many items in the infrastructure of Katra and Vaishnodevi requested the new governor for adding of more and more facilities and infrastructure items for Vaishnodevi pilgrims in and around Katra & vaishnodevi ji so that number and stay of Yatries may increase.
Babu Ram Addl. DC while speaking on the occasion appreciated the role of Ms.Neelam Khajuria as SDM Reasi and said that all employees in the administration should similarly work for the betterment of the society and hoped that the new SDM will carry forward this legacy and work even harder and asked all employees to work with dedication for the betterment of the society.
