Former Dy. Chief Minister & Senior BJP Leader, Kavinder Gupta today toured wards 47 & 48 falling in Gandhi Nagar Constituency and took the stock of basic amenities in the area. He also visited the sites of ongoing developmental works in the area.
Kavinder Gupta along with MLC Vikram Randhawa & Councillor Sharda Devi started laying of pipe line of Water Supply Schemes (WSS) at Manhas Mohalla in ward 47. This was much awaited WSS and dream project came true for the residents as after competition of work the people of Manhas Mohalla and adjoining areas shall be supplied with the required water supply. This was the long pending demand of the area and this project is being executed by the P.H.E department with an estimated cost of 25 Lacs.
Speaking on the occasion, Gupta said that Government is committed to provide all basic amenities like adequate drinking water, power, education, healthcare facilities and other civic facilities to the people of all the three regions of the State especially the areas where there is either shortage of water supply or where the pipes are damages and the new colonies.
On the occasion Gupta said the directions have already been passed to the concerned for identification of habitations where there is shortage of water and also they were asked to prepare Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) where either the Over Head Tanks or the Bore wells are required and submit the same so that the matter is taken up with the Government for accord of necessary arrangement of funds.
Gupta said that it is the responsibility of the concerned officers and engineers to conduct field survey and project plans on priority. Referring to the developmental works under execution in Gandhi Nagar Constituency, Gupta said that the construction of various developmental projects is apace and on completion of these schemes it will change the socio-economic conditions of the people of the area. Kavinder Gupta was accompanied by Vinay Gupta, Ankush Gupta, Vivek Patyal, Ankush president bawemarket, Dalbir Singh, Ajay Kumar, Dilbagh Singh among others.
Kavinder Gupta along with MLC Vikram Randhawa also visited the main market where the shopkeepers put for their demands. Both the leaders listened to the grievances and assured the public all the legitimate demands shall be met out soon. Gupta said the matter shall be taken up with the concerned authorities on priority.
