The former Dy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta along with Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation, Chander Mohan Gupta visited the Chest Disease Hospital to take on the spot stock of the situation at the said health institution in the wake of second wave of the Corona pandemic.
Kavinder Gupta as well as the JMC Mayor had detailed interaction with patients enquiring about the medical facilities being provided to them at the CD Hospital. They concluded the interaction with the patients by assuring them the best possible medical facilities to them in this hour of deep crisis.
Later, the former Deputy Chief Minister and JMC Mayor met the Medical Superintendent CD Hospital, Dr Rajeshwar and had a detailed review of the Medicare facilities being provided to the patients there. Corporators Dinesh Gupta and Anil Masoom also accompanied the former Deputy Chief Minister.
Talking to media persons after the meeting, Kavinder Gupta appreciated the efforts of medical officers and the whole medical fraternity for relentlessly working 24X7 who are making all possible efforts to provide all sort of medical services to the people suffering from different ailments in the ongoing corona crisis. He said that the doctors and the healthcare workers are the real saviours of humanity in this hour of crisis. He said words fall short for appreciating them as they are out risking their own lives on ground fighting the battle against COVID-19 as frontline warriors especially at a time when people fear coming out of homes due to Corona terror. He saluted these Corona warriors for the dedication towards their profession by rising to the occasion and rendering services to humanity at large.
The former Dy CM appealed to the people visiting the CD Hospital to display utmost patience and cooperate with the doctors and other healthcare staff who are working day and night in the battle against Coronavirus.
Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation, Chander Mohan Gupta while expressing satisfaction over the Medicare facilities at the Chest Disease Hospital said that administration is making all out efforts in fight against COVID-19 and in this regard JMC stands committed to relentlessly work for the health safety of the people. He said JMC is conducting sanitation, sanitization and flogging drives in Jammu and assured the people that it would continue till there is some ease in the spread of the deadly virus.
It is pertinent to mention here that earlier in the morning, the former Dy CM also called Divisional Commissioner, Raghav Langar on telephone and asked him to make provision for adequate medical facilities at GB Pant Hospital, Rajiv Gandhi Hospital, PHC Gaddigarh besides other health institutions so that patient care may not suffer at any cost.
Kavinder said that the Divisional Commissioner has assured that he would personally visit to aforesaid health centres for making adequate healthcare facilities to the visiting people.
Meanwhile, later in the afternoon Kavinder Gupta along with Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta kick started development work of a Nallah outside PHC Gaddigarh and the estimated cost to be incurred on this project is Rs. 18 lakh. Pitamber Sharma, Mandeep Chowdhary, Sanchet and Sanket were also present.
