Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader, Kavinder Gupta conducted an extensive tour of Gandhi Nagar Constituency here today. During the tour, Mr. Gupta took the stock of basic amenities in Langer village and its adjoining areas. During the tour Gupta along with President Kissan Morcha-Omi Khajuria, Nand Kishore, District President BJP-Vinay Gupta, Councillor & Chairman Health & Sanitation Committee-Baldev Billawria distributed more than 500 face masks, sanitizers, soaps and eatables to the needy persons of the area. The event of distribution was organized by BJP District Kissan Morcha which is active along with other volunteers of BJP and other social organizations in area since the eruption of COVID-19 in the country.
Gupta on the occasion said that the volunteers shall continue with the social service with the distribution of ration, face masks, sanitizers and other necessary items to the most vulnerable section of the society. Gupta lauded the role of Kissan Morcha team which is doing commendable job during the ongoing pandemic. Gupta continued on saying that medical staff deployed across the union territory, Police & other security forces, employees of Power development, Jal Vibagh, and CAPD are doing selfless service and needs appreciation from the citizens.
Gupta said on one hand our security forces have been successful in delivering service with respect to implementation of SoP’s amid COVID-19 and on the other hand eliminating the other anti national viruses sponsored by Pakistan in India. Gupta congratulated the security forces along with JKP for eliminating 9 (nine) hardcore militants during last 24 hours in Kashmir. Gupta said with the efforts & bravery of our security forces we have been successful in eliminating and restricting militants & their activities and very soon we (India) shall be in commanding position for mitigating the Corona virus from the country. Gupta appealed to the citizens that without co-operation of public, there shall be hindrances in controlling the further spread of COVID-19, so it is advisable to follow the principle of social distancing in their daily routine works. Public has to control the unnecessary visits to market places, social gathering and relatives places.
Gupta appealed to public to follow the guidelines notified by the Government to control of further spread of COVID-19. Prominent among others who were present on the occasion were Capt Jaswant, Capt. Jameet Singh, Harbans Chodhary, Anil Corporator, Mandeep Chowdhary, Sushpal Singh, Pawan Singh, Kulbir Kour, Rohit Verma, Vijay Sharma and Harpreet Chowdhary.
