Bhartiya Janata Party General Secretary Yudhvir Sethi today inaugurated Mahavir Gym at Moti Bazar set up by Suriender Singh and said that such centres of fitness promote good health and keep youth away from negativities. He said more and more young boys and girls must put such facilities to use which have been opened at their doorsteps and maintain good health and wellbeing.
Yudhvir Sethi after inaugurating the gum went around the premises and showed his keen interest in modern equipments and machines installed by the owner of the gym for young boys and girls. He said that such facilities in old city areas are increasing day by day which if utilised properly will help youth train themselves.
He said that the union Government besides new government of UT of J&K is also working hard in developing sports infrastructures including building stadiums and sports complexes which will help engage youth in sporting activities and prepare them for matches in different sporting events.
Asking gym instructors to maintain hygiene in the premises, the BJP leader said that these centres can also prepare youth for national as well as international competitions besides making them stay away from drugs and other antisocial activities. ‘A healthy brain wrests in a healthy body’ is the key mantra of staying fit and youth besides people of other age groups must also get to fitness regimes.
Earlier, a large number of people from the vicinity joined Yudhvir Sethi in greeting the gym owners and extended their greetings. Sonu, owner of the Gym while speaking on the occasion said that this facility will stay open for all days and help young boys and girls use machines and equipment for maintaining good health.
