RAJOURI, Oct 21:
The district level multi-event Khelo India competition held at Government PG College, here in collaboration with J&K State Sports Council involving over 100 young boys from different educational institutions.
The participants included Athletics (85), Yoga (70) and Cycling (32). Earlier, the competition declared open by Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Sher Singh, who was chief guest while ACD, Akhter Qazi was guest of honour.
Mohd Iqbal Raina (convener cultural and literary committee of PG College) while Assudulla Khan, Prof. Abass Chowdhary and Prof. Zamir Mirza were special invitees.
Among other special guests were Principal Government PG College Rajouri, Dr Javed Ahmed; president District Rajouri Athletics Association, Abdul Rashid Chowdhary.
The technical panel comprised Sahil Raina, Mohd Arshid, Iqrar Ahmed, Ravinder Singh, Mohd Zaffar, Mohd Suleman, Mohd Irfan, Mohd Altaf.
The competition held under the supervision of Captain (NCC) Tanwir Ahmed.
The Results:
ATHLETICS: 100 mts: Sahil Sharma, Ist; Jasmeet Singh, 2nd and Amjad Hussain, 3rd. 200 mts: Mohd Waqar, Ist; Mohd Razad, 2nd and Jasmeet Singh, 3rd. 400 mts: Shakeel Hussain, Ist; Sahil Sharma, 2nd and Mohd Sajjad, 3rd. 800 mts: Mohd Shabaz, Ist; Ratinder Singh, 2nd and Zahir Khan, 3rd. 1500 mts: Mohd Aftar, Ist; Mohd Waqar, 2nd and Mohd Tariq Aziz, 3rd.
CYCLING: Under 14: Mehrooz Dar, Ist; Mohd Umar, 2nd and Mohd Altamash, 3rd. Senior Group: Ahmed Raza, Ist; Neetan Kumar, 2nd and Abdul Rahim Qazi, 3rd.
YOGA: 8-12 year: Anees ur Rehman, Ist; Aryan, Ist and Aquib, 3rd. 12-17 year: Sadna, Ist; Kamakshi, 2nd and Shaista, 3rd.
