KVIC kick starts Mission SEVA PARV across Kashmir

SRINAGAR, SEPT 25:
The State Office of Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) has initiated a special drive under Seva Parv with focused approach to support SC/ST beneficiaries under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP).
As part of this initiative, a Bankers meeting was convened at Conference Hall, Sanat Ghar, Bemina here today chaired by Khalid Majeed, Director, Industries & Commerce, Kashmir.
Rajesh Kumar, State Director, KVIC; Anil Kumar Sharma, Nodal Officer, PMEGP; representative from UTLBC, officers from leading banks, DIC, KVIB, Lead District Managers (LDMs), representative from department of Posts, and other stakeholders were also present.
The meeting started with swadeshi pledge of Khadi Mahotsav.
During the meeting, Nodal Officer (PMEGP) gave a detailed presentation (PPT) for all stakeholders, highlighting the overall performance of PMEGP in Jammu & Kashmir, progress made in sanctioning and disbursing cases of SC/ST beneficiaries and objectives and modalities of the ongoing special drive under Seva Parve.
He also emphasized on clearing all pending cases of SC/ST beneficiaries at the earliest, reviewing rectification cases concerning SC/ST applicants, ensuring that beneficiaries belonging to minority communities, women, Persons with Disabilities (PWD), and ex-servicemen who also fall under the SC/ST category, furnish their valid SC/ST certificates under PMEGP, adding that this step will enable faster subsidy release.
He also called Banks & Implementing Agencies that all pending and rectification cases of SC/ST beneficiaries be cleared before 2nd October 2025.
Speaking on the occasion, Director, Industries and Commerce instructed banks to rectify all the SC/ST cases and co-operate with enumerator of Department of post in physical verification.
The State Director, KVIC Jammu, reiterated that this drive is part of the Commission’s commitment to ensure inclusive growth and priority support to SC/ST communities under PMEGP.
