KrishiVigyan Kendra Kishtwar SKUAST Jammu today conducted field day under Front Line Demonstrations on scientific cultivation and management ofpaddy crop at villages Chingam and Sigdi of the district. The programmes were conductedin the farmers’ fields under the guidance of Dr AmrishVaid Extension SKUAST Jammu.
Dr Narinder Paul Incharge KVK Kishtwar conducted the programmes which were attended by 80 farmers, farm women and rural youth. During the programme the technologies on scientific paddy cultivation demonstrated by KVK during Kharif 2024 were discussed and their potential recorded from the participant farmers.
The farmers expressed great satisfaction over the production potential of the paddy production, protection and management technologies.Pertinent that KVK had laid out demonstrations on scientific cultivation of paddy in 10 Ha area in the District DuringKharif 2024.
Farmers while speaking on the occasion expressed that the farmers have obtained increased production in paddy this year due to adoption of technologies promoted under the demonstrations.
Om Prakash, Anifa Begum, Guddi Devi, Madan Lal, Raj Kumar, Mohammad Iqbal, Wazir Ahmad, RubinaBugum, Mukesh Kumar, Ravinder Kumar, Rosna Lal, Nath Ram, Zahid Hussain and others participated in the programme. Bansi Lal from KVK organised the programmes.
