Lakshi Cricket Club (LCC) today registered a fine 46 runs win against MIER Club in under-16 event of the ongoing JKCA Premier Championship, organised by organising committee set up for the purpose at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
Earlier, batting first, LCC set a target of 175 runs losing eight wickets in given 25 overs. Dhruv Parmar remained top scorer with 33-ball 47 runs, followed by Yinayak and Rahil, who added 44 and 24 runs respectively. From MIER, Jasbir took two wickets while Tabish, Puniya and Nirbhay shared apiece each.
In reply, MIER Club could not chase the total felling short of 46 runs completing 25 overs quota for 129 runs losing seven wickets. Youvraj (31), Gourav (20) and Nikhil (18) were the main scorers. From LCC, Dhruv Parmar clinched three wickets while Manav and Jugjap took a piece each.
Dhruv Parmar was later adjudged man of the match for his all round performance. Sadiq Hussain Malik and Ravi Manchanda were umpires while Saleem-ur-Rehman maintained the scorecard.
