Nitesh Tiwari’s forthcoming film Ramayana is making all the right noises. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama. Lara Dutta, who is supposed to play Kaikeyi (Lord Rama’s stepmother) in the film, recently addressed the rumors. In a chat with IndianExpress.com, Lara Dutta said, “I am hearing it a lot as well. I am leaving the rumours out there. I also like reading and hearing about them so please continue. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of Ramayana? There were so many characters I would have loved to play if it was offered to me – Surpanakha, Mandodari, I am playing them all (laughs).” Along with Lara and Sheeba, images of Arun Govil were leaked off the shoot. Arun, who played Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s renowned Doordarshan drama Ramayan, will portray King Dashrath in Nitesh’s Ramayana. Arun was seen chatting with several young boys on site, who appeared to be little Ram and his brothers. He had a lengthy beard and wore a mukut (crown) on his head.On the work front, Lara Dutta is recently promoting her online series, “Ranneeti: Balakot and Beyond.”
