To aware the masses the Complete story of Legend Mata Vaishno Devi, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) ,Departmental artistes , Empaneled artistes and RegisteredTroupesof Regional Outreach Bureau , Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Government of India , staged Musical Play ” MAA SHERANWALI “(Complete story of Mata Vaishno Devi ) at Government Higher Secondary School , Katra in during Navratra Festival and is attracting jam-packed audience at the Specially designed ,written, produced and directed by Sh. M.L.Dogra,Chairman , Bhartiya Lok Sangeet kala Sansthan .
The progam was ingurated byMiss Neha Jalali ,Deputy Director , Regional Outreach Bureau , Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Government of India after lightning the Traditional Lamp along with Senior Staff of ROB Sh. Ram Kishan, Administrative officer, M.L.Dogra, Former Assistant Director of Song and Drama Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting,Government of India, Sh. Vijay Matto, FPA, Sh. Neeraj Verma, Sh.Durga Parkash, Ram Lal, Virender Kapadia, Ritu Sharma, Sunita Atri present on the occasion & Sh.Ram Lal , Senior artiste conducted the Program. The Program was commenced with Devotional RajasthaniFolk dance “Bhawai” and Folk Dance of Assam “Bihu”, after Full Length 2- Hours Musical Play “MAA SHERANWALI “presentedunder the over all Guidance of Neha Jalali ,Deputy Director ,ROB Government of India. The main attraction of the play “Netar Dan” by Shri Ram, “Maha-Yag of Bali Pradha Virod” , ” Vashnavi Bhandara by Shri Dhar”, “Harish Chander- Tara Mati Samwad” & ” Bhariv Vadh” & “Maa Vaishnavi Asthbuja Darshan”.Welcome address Sh. Ram Lal ,Seniorartiste of ROB, announced During the Navratra Festival DailyMusical Play “Maa Sheran Wali”will be presented daily from 8pm to 12pm upto 4 oct 2019, wherein nearly 60 artists / technicians are involved, would inspire present generation to follow ideals of our deities for overall well being of the society.
Sh.M.L.Dogra,Writer ,Producer,Director of Musical Play informed this Historical Musical Playis continuously staged for 10 years by the Song and Drama Division under the overall direction of M.L.Dogra. Now during current with efforts of Miss Neha Jalali this play again being presenting during navratra festival after the gap of 12 years& also said to showcase the historical, Puranic & Legendary references of the abode of “Mata Vaishnavi” -an incarnation of three supreme energies Mata Kali, Mata Lakshmi & Mata Sarswati and .The play revolves around various facets of Mata’s life & her teachings to the mankind.
The Artistes of Various state like Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Himachal Jharkhand ,Jammu and Kashmir will present Cultural Bonaza during the Navratra Festival. Thus the holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi is unique in the entire world. The origin of Vaishno Devi is as mysterious as it is about several other shrines from the past era. As per geological investigation &research of the holy cave, approximately since one million years the pilgrimage continues.
As per Vedic history of Vaishno Devi there was no presence of female worshippers in the past while Rigveda found their presence in the mountain Trikuta. It especially focuses upon Shakti worship practice that continues since Puranic era.The history is enriched with many important references so are the details about traditions & facts related to this shrine which supports its holiness.This Pilgrimage is a symbol of ‘Secularism” where people from all communities irrespective of caste,colour and creed seek blessings of Mata for their well being. On the basis of evidences/references, Maa Sheranwali (Maa Vaishno Devi ) Musical play has been synchronized to the best of our wisdom. This play has been designed by fully exposing all traditional folk of Jammu region including Jagar (Jadiyaa).The play would prove an asset for adolescent girls for upholding their dignity as advocated strongly in “MAA SHERANWALI” through her actions to mitigate the suffering of mankind & instigate a new insight in glorifying the contribution of mother’s power & in getting rid of the social evils which are still prevailing in our society. The play has been especially designed by fully exposing all traditional folk of Jammu region including Jagar (Jadiyaa) in which Thalli, Dhol, Garba and Nagara, flute, Dafla are used in folk form of J&K i.e. Karkan, Bhagtia (Ras Lila) , Mhall(Chhini), Bhak,kirtan, Jagran, Jatter, etc. for conveying the message in a befitting manner.
The departmental emplaned artists & Regd. Troups, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan, Sangam Tru Art Production, Sudesh Kumari & Party, Migrant Pather Saz, was main attraction of the Musical Play. This Musical Play Enthralled the Lacs of Pilgrims came from all the states and abroad for Darshan of Holy Cave.
