Madan Lal Sharma Charitable Trust Holds Maiden Meeting at Khour

Madan Lal Sharma Charitable Trust, on Sunday, held its maiden meeting at Khour. The workers and members of the trust paid floral tribute to the beloved leader, Late Shri Madan Lal Sharma and also to the martyrs of the Pulwama attack. All the people, who had gathered there, paid allegiance to the late MP’s family members and decided that ‘they would whole heartedly work for the trust in the name of Late Madan Lal Sharma ji’. All the modalities of the trust have been finalised. His friends and party colleagues who attended included Former Minister Yogesh Sawhney General Secretary PCC, Hari Singh (district president rural Jammu), Kuldeepraj Verma (ex vice chairman OBC), Parveen Sharma (chairman BDC), Prem Kumar (vice president rural Jammu.), Dhaniram (sarpanch nathal), Naresh Kumar (sarpanch Mallah), Guddo Devi (sarpanch HP sidhar), Vijay Singh (sarpanch platan ), Sehdev Singh (naib sarpanch panjtoot), Sanjay Radha (ex vice president PDP), Harnam Das (ex sarpanch), Babu Ram Sharma (ex sarpanch), Sakandya Devi (naib sarpanch battal), Rano Devi ( general secr. WOMAN WING JKPCC), Ram saroop (vice president rural), Charan Das, Suraj Prakash, Tarsem Singh, Angrezuram Rakesh Choudhury (all ex sarpanch), and Nikku RAm (ex sarpanch).
People had gathered in large numbers to show support to the trust. A documentary showcasing the life and achievements of Madan Lal Sharma ji was played in the meeting which garnered deep feelings from the people, marking a very emotional moment during the program. People were sentimental and respectful during this final adieu to their beloved leader and showed strong support. Following late Madan Lal Sharma ji’s demise, people from the area had sought the continuation of the goodwork done by him, and thereby, they showed great faith in trust and it’s members and made the event memorable for the late leader’s family and supporters.
While speaking on the occasion Satish Sharma took oath that he will fulfil the dreams of his father by working day night with workers. He will take care of every person and their problems and he assured them all that all the pending works will continue aswells social service path that his father laid. He also warned administration about suffering of common people in revenue office, pdd phe office and he raised issues of daily wagers , Alc issue , unemployment , compensation issues. He also paid tribute to Pulwama attack martyrs. ‘He served the best interests of the people and is remembered for his commitment as an instrument of service to the people of the J&K state. He is also remembered for his considerable social work.’, he said in the meeting. It was also decided that the trust would be dedicated in honouring the principles of the late veteran leader, to help the underprivileged and distressed sections of the society. ‘As Madan Lal Ji was always ready to serve the people, the Madan Lal Sharma Charitable Trust will work on the same lines and will be accessible to the people and will remain dedicated to public welfare, in his memory.’, he said.
Various senior leaders and party colleagues present at the program extended their support to Satish Sharma for continuing his father’s good work for the people for their development and growth and expressed solidarity with the grief of the supporters who were sentimental remembering the leader during the program.
Also speaking on the occasion, Former Minister Yogesh Sawhney remembered his contributions in different capacities to Jammu and Kashmir and the people during his public life spanning around five decades. “He was a humble personality and always remained associated with the people at the grass root levels, the especially poor and the downtrodden.”.
He described him as a great and humble leader who dedicated his life to public service.
Hari Singh, Distt. President Rural Jammu, lauded the trust for honouring the name of Madan Lal Sharma Ji and remembered him as a hard-working and beloved leader who worked extensively for the development of his electorate and also helped people through his philanthropic work. The trust, he said, will aptly honour his legacy and be a symbol of help and kindness.
Former VC, OBC Kuldeep Verma recounted his contributions as a VC/Chairman towards Reservation and OBC Hostel. He said that the local leadership who led the constituency could not do something similar for the community.

Ram Swaroop ji, senior leader and Sarpanch from Pragwal, laid stress on local issues such as BDO office problem, and payments compensation issues, and he assured that he will support Satish Sharma by heart in the ensuing election.

Furthermore, Prem Singh, candidate from Khour also assured his full support and allegiance to Satish Sharma.
