In a significant effort to safeguard social values and strengthen cultural heritage, Dharam Jagran Samnvay, under the aegis of Madhav Seva Trust, organized the Rajput Pariyojana Mahila Sammelan today at the Ved Mandir Premises, Amphalla, Jammu. The event aimed at addressing pressing concerns affecting the Rajput community, including religious conversion, Love Jihad, and declining population rates.
Eminent social thinker Surekha Charak presided over the Sammelan, while Shagun Parihar, MLA Kishtwar, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Rakesh Tyagi, Incharge North Zone Dharam Jagran, was the keynote speaker, highlighting the importance of unity, social awareness, and religious preservation.
A grand display of Matrishakti (women’s power) was witnessed as a Padyatra (foot march) was taken out from Ved Mandir, resonating with patriotic and cultural slogans like Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Jai Shivaji, Jai Bhavani, and Jai Shri Ram. The march passed through the main market before culminating back at the temple premises.
Addressing the gathering, Rakesh Tyagi passionately highlighted the pressing need to curb caste-based discrimination, which continues to be a significant factor driving religious conversions. He stressed that discrimination weakens social unity and creates divisions that opportunistic forces exploit.
Emphasizing the importance of preserving cultural and traditional values, he urged the Rajput community to take proactive steps in instilling these ideals among the younger generation. He cited the examples of legendary warriors and rulers such as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, General Zorawar Singh, Maharaja Gulab Singh, and Maharaja Hari Singh Ji, who upheld the principles of courage, integrity, and inclusivity in their times.
Tyagi underscored that true strength lies in unity and mutual respect within the community, which would not only preserve their rich heritage but also fortify their identity against external influences. He called for collective efforts in nurturing a society where every individual is treated with dignity and respect.
Chief Guest MLA Shagun Parihar in her speech underscored the role of women in protecting their faith and strengthening family values. She provided practical solutions for ensuring women’s safety and empowerment within the community.
The event served as a call to action for the Rajput community to stay united, uphold their traditions, and actively participate in the preservation of Sanatan Dharma. The Rajput Pariyojana Mahila Sammelan concluded on an inspiring note, reinforcing the commitment to cultural revival and societal upliftment.
