Maha Swachh Bharat Abhiyan organised by Corporator Ward no. 50 Neena Gupta at Channi Himmat Sector 1 near Gurudwara Sahib and it was launched in the presence of Chief Guest Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor JMC along with Ajay Gupta Corporator Ward No. 52, Adv. Ishant Gupta State Vice President BJYM & Co-ordinator Ward No. 50 Ashok Gupta.
While speaking on the occasion, Neena Gupta said that in Channi Himmat we have taken innovative ways in order to make Swachh Channi.
She said that the whole sanitation staff of Channi Himmat from now onwards collectively cleans the area of Channi Himmat Ward No. 50 which comprises of total seven sectors from Sector 1 to Sector 7, Sector Wise as per roaster.
She added that we have launched our Maha Swachh Bharat Abhiyan from Sector 1, and after few days it will move on to Sector 2 and so on. She said that the cleanliness drive at Channi Himmat will not be limited to just one day, but will continue in order to provide healthy atmosphere to the residents of Channi Himmat. Chander Mohan Gupta appreciated the innovative ways taken by Ward No. 50 Corporator for Swachh Channi shall be adopted by other corporators also. He said that with the vision of “Saab Ka Saath, Saab Ka Vikas” and with the support of all the Corporators of Jammu he will definitely bring a change in upcoming days to make “Clean Jammu Green Jammu, Swachh Jammu Swasth Jammu”. He said that Channi Himmat is a very beautiful and posh colony and to make it a model colony is his first priority in connection to Jammu as Smart City. He said soon we are going to outsource auto for every ward so that lifting of garbage will become the routine habit and the people get relief from dumping of garbage at road sides.
He further appeal the general public not to use polythene and request them to boycott the use of polythene because it is a one kind of plastic which is non-biodegradable and cause environmental pollution.
Adv. Ishant Gupta said that to keep our locality clean and healthy, it is not only the responsibility of safai karamcharis but every citizen has to contribute in this noble mission and besides this we have also to grow more and more plants in our surroundings in order to get fresh oxygen for better health.
