Mahajan Sabha Channi Himmat Jammu honoured JMC Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta and Corporator of Ward No. 50 Neena Gupta, Ward No. 51 Raj Kumar & Ward No. 52 Ajay Gupta in a function held at Panch Mandir Sector 2 Channi Himmat. The function was organized by Mahajan Sabha Channi Himmat President Ashok Jandial. During the function Mayor and Corporators were honoured by presenting them with a mementos. The prominent citizens gathered there apprised Mayor about the problems being faced by Channi Himmat Residents which consists of sanitation, lanes & drains, Street lights and non availability of public transport facility.
On the occasion, Chander Mohan thanked the Mahajan Sabha President and other senior members of Mahajan Sabha present on the day for honouring him.
He while speaking said that he himself is a very simple person and know about the basic problems of people especially due to sanitation issues. He said that with the vision of “Saab Ka Saath, Saab Ka Vikas” and with the support of all the Corporators of Jammu he will definitely bring a change in upcoming days to make “Clean Jammu Green Jammu, Swachh Jammu Swasth Jammu”.
He said that Channi Himmat is a very beautiful and posh colony and to make it a model colony is his first priority in connection to Jammu as Smart City. He said soon we are going to outsource auto for every ward so that lifting of garbage will become the routine habit and the people get relief from dumping of garbage at road sides. He further appreciated the working of all the Corporators and said they are very enthusiastic and dedicate to provide every benefit and healthy atmosphere to the residents of their respective ward.
Proceedings were done by Mahajan Sabha Channi Himmat General Secretary Hirday Chander Vaid and he said that JMC now quoted elected Corporators as councillors which is not right because the public has elected Corporators not councillors. He said that as per rule Councilor are for Municipal councils, Members are for Municipal Committees but for Corporation the elected persons are known to be as Corporator. He urges Mayor to consider this issue on merits and take necessary step in this regards.

Gupta, Vinod gupta, Khushwinder gupta, Praveen gupta, Vishpaul gupta Ashok gupta vishavdeep, Sushil gupta, Mohan and all other working committee members of Mahajan Sabha Channi Himmat.
