The student and Youth wing of NCP celebrated the birthday of Lt.Shri Maharaja Hari Singh the last ruler of J&K state.
While paying the rich tributes to Maharaja Er.Rishi Kaul Kilam National Executive Council Member and Spokesperson NSC said that Maharaja Hari Singh was Known for his high virtues, secular character and his achievements especially in the field of education and agriculture.
Er.Rishi said that Maharaja Hari Singh deserves respect and reverence for his remarkable deeds.
He owned and respected all religions.
Er.Rishi said that it is surprising and ironic that the J&K state BJP when in helm of affairs and power in the state neglected his birthday by not declaring holiday on this day.
The demand for holiday was not fulfilled.
Muslim Ithaad Front Chairman J&K Amjad Malik while participating in the function paid rich tributes to Maharaja Hari Singh and strongly demanded holiday on his birthday.
The prominent social and political activist Er.Rishi Kaul Kilam said that now perhaps the state BJP want to show their solidarity with the people of Jammu by showing their presence at the statue of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji when in power in the state BJP could not declare holiday on his birthday.
Er.Rishi Kaul added that Maharaja Hari Singh was a person who merged J&K state with India in 1947 and it is because of his wise step and vision that J&K is part of India and known as the crown of India .
He created both history and geography in 1947.
